Yes. Bruising and swelling are common side effects of any injectable treatment. You may use makeup to conceal the bruising on the second day if you would like.

We strongly recommend that our patients not have any sun-exposed skin prior to any laser treatment. (This includes bronzers, self-tanners, spray tans, and makeup). Sun exposure leaves your skin more sensitive to heat, which can lead to hyperpigmentation and blistering. Patients must also avoid the sun for two weeks post treatment. We want you to get the best outcomes from your laser treatments, so adhering to these recommendations is important.

- Prescription grade products such as hydroquinone and retinol. Both are skin-lightening products that can minimize the appearance of sunspots and melasma for patients of all skin types. They come in various strengths, so make sure you ask our team of experts what they would recommend for you.
